– What God says about you doesn’t shift with seasons.
Some seasons will lie to you.
The silence may whisper, “You’re not needed anymore.”
The struggle might say, “You missed your moment.”
Even success can deceive you into thinking, “This is all you are now.”
But God doesn’t base His identity for you on the weather of your life. His Word is settled—not suggested, not adjusted, and not seasonal.
Ephesians 1:13 (NIV) says, “When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit.”
That seal doesn’t fade in the fire. It doesn’t wear off in waiting. It doesn’t loosen in loss.
You were sealed, not stamped. That means what’s been established cannot be erased.
God didn’t change His mind about you because you’re struggling.
He didn’t remove your assignment because you feel unqualified.
He didn’t redefine your purpose because people walked away.
You’re still called.
Still chosen.
Still His.
Even when life feels wildly different than you imagined, that doesn’t undo what heaven already affirmed.
Seasons may change your surroundings, but they don’t change your standing.
You don’t have to wait until life makes sense to walk in your identity. You walk in it because it’s already settled.
When David was anointed king, he went back to sheep before ever stepping into a palace (1 Samuel 16). The oil didn’t make him popular—it made him prepared. And even while overlooked, he was already the Lord’s choice.
So don’t get discouraged if what’s happening around you doesn’t reflect who you know you are in Him.
You’re not made by circumstances. You’re marked by covenant.
