Sometimes boldness is just not backing down.

You don’t always need to roar to be courageous. Sometimes courage is quiet. It’s showing up with shaky hands and a willing heart. It’s obeying God when the outcome isn’t clear, when your questions outnumber your answers, and when fear whispers that it’s safer to wait.

Real courage is staying on the path even when it feels like no one sees you. It’s the refusal to retreat just because you don’t know what’s next. When faith feels like walking into the fog, courage looks like obedience—taking the next step, not because you understand, but because you trust the One who called you.

Here’s a fact that stuns me: the dragonfly starts life in water. For months—even years—it lives as a nymph, crawling along the bottom of a pond, breathing through gills, completely unaware it was made for flight. Then one day, without warning, it climbs out of the water and breaks open into something entirely new. No applause. No announcement. Just obedience to the inner pull upward.

That’s what faith often feels like. Moving toward something you can’t yet see. Trusting that what’s in you was meant to emerge. Don’t underestimate the boldness it takes to simply keep going. Sometimes the bravest thing you’ll do is show up again tomorrow… still unsure, but still saying yes.
