Growing seasons often feel like waiting seasons.

You can’t rush roots.

And you can’t say God is late just because you’re early.

There are seasons that feel like you’re standing still when you’re actually stretching. Moments when everything in you wants to move forward—but God whispers, “Not yet.” Not to punish you. Not to ignore you. But to protect what’s being planted.

Because some promises aren’t late. They’re just not strong enough to be revealed yet.

Waiting Isn’t Wasted—It’s Working

The waiting room of God’s will is holy ground. It doesn’t feel that way. But the discomfort is often where He does His deepest work.

  • You thought the silence meant rejection.
  • You assumed the pause meant forgotten.
  • But what if the wait was preparation?

Joseph had dreams at 17 but didn’t see the palace until he was 30. David was anointed but not appointed for years. Even Jesus waited 30 years for a 3-year public ministry.

God doesn’t delay without growth in mind.

“The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you…” – 2 Peter 3:9 (CSB)

Sometimes It’s Not Time—Because You’re Still Being Healed

Let’s be honest: what we call a “delay” is often divine kindness.

You think you’re ready… but you still flinch when certain topics come up. You still measure your worth by outcomes. You’re still trying to prove your value by performance.

So God says wait—not to hold you back, but to hold you together long enough to rebuild your identity.

You don’t need to be perfect to be used.

But you do need to be whole enough not to crumble when He does.

There’s Glory in the Slow Bloom

If you’re in a season where everything feels paused, ask this instead: “What is this season protecting me from?”

Maybe what feels like denial is just divine covering.

Maybe what feels like slowness is saving you from premature exposure.

Because the right thing at the wrong time can still crush you.

So rest in this: God’s timing isn’t just strategic. It’s kind.

Before You Go

Don’t confuse delay with disfavor. Growth doesn’t always feel like progress—but that doesn’t mean it’s not happening.

Even in the silence, even in the slow—He’s still being good to you.
