Life, at its core, is a journey of rebuilding. We often think of rebuilding only after times of loss or challenge, but what if rebuilding is more than just recovering? What if it’s a way of embracing life as a constant renewal—a pursuit to become stronger, wiser, and more resilient? This has been a powerful lesson for me, one that I witnessed firsthand through my mother’s life and strength.
As a child, I watched my mother face challenges that seemed insurmountable. Through every season, she would rebuild. Whether it was financial struggles, personal battles, or the many stages of cancer she faced so bravely, she never stopped. Her life taught me that rebuilding isn’t just about moving on from hardship—it’s about taking what we have and making it new again, shaping a future with intention, regardless of the past.
Through my own seasons of life, I’ve held onto this lesson. There was a season of divorce that tested my heart, faith, and strength in ways I hadn’t anticipated. It was a time where rebuilding felt endless, like trying to piece together fragments of a life I thought was solid. Yet, just as my mother showed me, I found there was always enough strength to rebuild—to create a new chapter, anchored in resilience and faith.
I’m reminded of Isaiah 40:31, which speaks to this journey: “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” This verse has become a cornerstone, reminding me that our strength comes not from avoiding hardship but from leaning on faith, even when our path seems broken.
So, whether you are starting over or simply strengthening your foundation, take every piece of your journey and rebuild boldly. Rebuilding isn’t a phase; it’s a way of life. And as long as we’re breathing, we’re building.
