Nothing surrendered to God stays broken forever.

There are years we wish we could rewrite—seasons of silence, detours we never meant to take, relationships that left us feeling more empty than whole. And maybe, like me, you’ve looked back and thought, “What was the point of all that?”

But here’s what I’ve come to understand: God doesn’t waste what’s been surrendered.

Even the time that feels lost—He can still use it.

We serve a God who steps into broken timelines and fills them with purpose. Joel 2:25 says, “I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten…” That means the pieces you thought were too shattered, too far gone, too long delayed—He knows how to gather them. Not to shame you, but to restore you.

Some of the most powerful lessons I’ve learned came out of what looked like wasted seasons. Things I didn’t ask for, delays I didn’t see coming, rooms I stayed in too long—God still breathed on all of it.

And maybe you’re not there yet. Maybe you’re still staring at the clock wondering why it hasn’t happened for you.

Don’t rush past this part. God might not redeem it the way you imagined—but He always redeems it.

Sometimes the redemption is in the healing.
Sometimes it’s in the clarity.
Sometimes it’s in the new direction that only came after the waiting broke you open.

You are not too old.
You are not too late.
You are not too far behind.

Even your sidetracks are seen by God.

The world may measure your worth by accomplishments and milestones, but heaven honors your surrender.

If all you have is a bruised heart and a handful of what-ifs, He can still write something holy with that.

Because nothing surrendered to God stays broken forever.
