—He’s Sitting in It With You. Healer first. Counselor always.
Some pain isn’t meant to be rushed. Some seasons aren’t meant to be skipped.
And no, God isn’t frustrated with you for still feeling it.
There’s this unspoken pressure sometimes—to move on, to bounce back, to stop crying already. Even from well-meaning people. “You’re strong.” “You’ve got faith.” “You’ll be fine.” Maybe. But right now? You’re still breaking. And here’s the truth that brings peace: God isn’t asking you to get over it. He’s sitting right there in it.
He doesn’t step back from grief. He draws near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18, NLT). Not as a bystander. As a Healer. As a Counselor. As a Father who’s not afraid of your tears.
Jesus didn’t rush Mary when she wept for Lazarus.
He wept with her. Even knowing He would raise Lazarus minutes later, He honored the moment of pain. He sat in it. That’s love that doesn’t avoid our mess—it meets us there.
So if you’re still grieving, still angry, still confused—God hasn’t left the room. He hasn’t scheduled your healing on a timer. He walks with you at the pace of trust, not pressure.
And even now—especially now—He’s offering something deeper than answers: His presence.
Because healing doesn’t always start with being fixed. Sometimes it starts with being held.
